Sangeh History
In seventeeth century during the golden time of the Kingdom of Mengwi, the King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Ketut Karangasem, son of I Gusti Agung Made Agung built a temple in the middle of a nutmeg forest, later called : Bukit Sari Temple. The nutmeg forest is a holy area very much respected by the local people of Sangeh traditional village and the villages nearby, so that it is considered sacred, meanwhile it then develops into a place of interest attracting multi national visitors with hundreds of tame monkey innabitants inside the evergreen tropical forest.

Identification and point of attraction
Batubulan village is a village belogs to Sukawati district, Gianyar regency, Bali island. It has a strategic location for being the western gate of Gianyar regency and as a terminal that links Denpasar city and the Eastern part of Bali island.
Batubulan was, firstly, known as an agricultural village rich with arts including dancing and carving. The structure of the cultural and agricultural community, inspired by Hindu religion, has been the basic life of Batubulan community.

Location
Suluban beach is one of several recreational beaches located at Pecatu village on the southern tip of Badung regency and is about 3 km from Uluwatu Temple. The beach is about 32 km south of Denpasar through Kuta tourist resort, Ngurah Rai International Airport and Jimbaran village. The sloping and bending road around the hill gives an amazing panorama.

Tanah Lot is a very famous resort in Bali, almost every tourist which is vacation to Bali visit Tanah Lot and enjoy the nature view in Tanah Lot. History
Legend says that the lump of lime-stone found on the location of the temple is the metamorphosis of the Lake Goddess or the Water Goddess.
Uluwatu Temple and its neighbourhood is supposed to be built around the eleventh century, the same time as when Mpu Kuturan (one of Hindu holy highpriest coming to Bali at that time) built some shrines within the mother temple in Bali, Besakih. Uluwatu Temple was chosen by Highpriest Dang Hyang Nirarta to achieve “Moksa” (to unite with God Almighty). The bush surrounding Uluwatu temple is occupied by groups of monkeys protected by the locals nearby.
